FAQs
What paper do you use for limited prints ?
Fine Art Matt Finish Canson Photographique Photo RAG - 310gsm (5 star rating). It is made in France from 100% cotton, and has a beautiful smooth, matte finish perfect for museum-grade archival artwork reproduction. Modern Giclee print technology provides noticeably better detail and quality than traditional prints.
How many limited prints are created from an original ?
Prints are exclusive. Only 16 Limited Edition numbered and Artist signed prints will be created of each Original Artwork.
Why have you created Limited Prints from Original Art ?
We have always wished for Art to be accessible to as many people as possible. It makes it easier for people to connect with these Art pieces as by their nature the originals are sometimes large sized artworks. Prints are great for your intimate living spaces. Of course not all my Originals are available in print form and also requests for original commissions are always welcome to keep your options open.
What is the difference between the framing of an original stretched canvas vs framing of a print ?
Each Original Artwork is currently stretched on a timber frame with D-Rings and wire ready to hang. Framing options are available to be applied to this. The Frames are typically Natural Oak, White or Black Floating Timber Shadow Box Frames. (a 3-6 mm shadow-line offset from the canvas edge to the frame).
A Print has a 5cm white border. If ordered with the option of a frame - Professional framing displays the 5cm white border, includes unmatted dry mounting, 94% UV resistant clear perspex, and a 2cm wide x 4cm deep box timber frame (in finish options: natural oak, white or black)

Your local framer can easily assist with customizing your frame and or stretching if required.
Will I receive a Certificate of Authenticity ?
Each Original and Prints arrives with a certificate of authencity, and are signed by the artist, Geoffrey Ian Wilson.
How are my paintings and limited edition prints packaged ?
Original framed and stretched canvas paintings and framed prints are double bubble wrapped first for added protection. They are then packed in a reinforced and custom made cardboard box that is carefully sealed with ‘fragile’ warning tape for added caution. My rolled prints are professionally packed using acid free tissue paper first, (rolled original canvas in bubble wrap) before they are carefully rolled into a high quality cardboard tube to ensure the safety during transport.
How do you care for your Limited Print or Original Artwork ?
1. Avoid direct sunlight
2. Be mindful of temperature and climate
3. Keeping it clean - suggest a mibrofibre cloth
4. Unpacking prints as soon as they arrive - rolled paper has a memory - use clean gloves
5. Hanging - use fixtures appropriate for size and weight (don't use adhesive fixtures)
