“THE TRIBE COLLECTION was an opportunity to expand into capturing spiritual beings in portraiture as well as exploring narratives from the past. Retaining the roots of abstract expressionism at its core, this collection traces the lives of warrior characters and spirit creatures. Hidden in the stars in the vivid skies where I grew up near the Californian desert regions around Lake Tahoe, were the mystical creatures of his childhood. I was taught to trace the dots and find the souls in a Native American dreamtime akin to our Australian Indigenous narratives.  The collection reflects on how many cultures search for their own meaning and identity by reminiscing about their own dreamtime.”
